If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of local families this could be the role for you.
Home-Start Newark has been operating at the heart of its community for over 30 years, providing support to families when they need it the most. Based in the Castle House offices in Newark, we have a small friendly staff team who work alongside our volunteer home visitors and Board of Trustees.
As one of our Organisers you will actively contribute to the daily operations of our amazing charity, managing your own caseload, working closely with referrers and partners and maintaining accurate recording systems. You will help to recruit, train and develop our bank of talented volunteer home visitors, matching them with families and supervising their work.
Reporting to our Senior Organiser you will work closely with other staff but will also travel to visit families in their home, assessing need, measuring progress, and seeing first-hand how simple interventions can turn lives around and make futures brighter. Please note that due to Covid-19, some of our work is currently being carried out remotely, but the expectation is that the bulk of face-to-face service delivery will resume when it is safe to do so. If this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for and you think you’ve got what it takes then we’d love to hear from you.
For an informal chat please email email@example.com with your number and we will arrange to get in touch with you. For an application pack please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01636 705011. Our closing date for applications is Monday 1st February. Interviews will be held on week commencing Monday 8th February.
Home-Start Newark is committed to safer recruitment practice as an important part of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level and to provide 2 references. We are committed to equality of opportunity and diversity and welcome applications from all parts of the community.
